Tip of the Hat ... Wag of the Finger...

Alright, friends, it's time for another edition of Tip/Wag!!

TIP OF THE HAT goes to Audible. I have been a member & a huge fan of Audible for over a year now. Great service where for roughly $20/month you get to download 2 full-length audiobooks to play via your favorite mp3 player. I have enjoyed it thoroughly. It has saved my brain from going dull while baking cakes for hours on end every day.

Well, Audible had a perfect opportunity to royally screw me out of a $130 of unused book credit when I accidentally cancelled my subscription yesterday. As of today, though, within 24 hours of a major holiday, their customer help department sent me an email stating that my account has been revived to full status. I will be singing Audible praises for months to come as I listen to my audiobooks...I'm such a geek! BTW, I am currently reading/listening "Fast Food Nation"; and I highly recommend it!

WAG OF THE FINGER goes to Verizon Wireless. I just recently signed up for another 2 years with these jokers who just-so-happen to be the big boys in my neighborhood. Their actual phone service is good...no complaints really. Their technology is not the best I have ever had..but it gets the job done. Where Verizon Wireless simply can't get the job done is with their customer service. It simply sucks. It is utterly deplorable. The actual people are nice...but it seems their ability to do much for you has been amputated somehow...and that is after you spend the average half-hour of wait-time before they call your name. If my mishap I had with Audible was with Verizon, I would still be waiting just to talk to someone...and then I would be regretfully informed that there is nothing that can be done once the changes have been introduced into the system!!!!

I've been told that Cingular has just plain, rude people working for them. So where do you go for the best wireless service? My experiences so far tells me T-Mobile is the place to go. Technology? Cool & Effective. Service? Nice & Productive. Communication? Clear & Concise. I had T-Mobile when I was up in Washington and I miss them dearly. Verizon Wireless gets my business for now; but definitely not my loyalty nor my recommendation.

You get it all at Sprint. If you deal with customer service over the phone rather than a Sprint store, the service is better. Sure, the reception may be a little sketchy, but then you probably shouldn't be driving through cornfields anyway!

In my opinion, Sprint has the best service with the clearest communication. Six years and still going strong.
