Well, friends, here she is! This is a picture of my future home. All the details are being finalized, and we should close the deal on November 18th as scheduled. She is not much to look at from the outside (kinda like her owner) but she has a lot going for her on the inside. 3 bedroom, 1 3/4 Bathrooms, Sun Room, Finished Basement, Gas Fireplace, 2 Car Garage, and much much more! And the commute to work: 2 Stop Signs at just a single mile separates my pillow from my cupcakes! :-)
For those who are in the area, we will have a "Come See My New Bachelor Pad" Party in early December. For those near and far, I would like your help in making this house my home.
George Washington had Mt. Vernon. Thomas Jefferson had Monticello. Elvis had Graceland. Neil Clayton has ________. I'm asking for your help in filling in the blank. Those who live close by will have the ability to come & meet her, get a sense of her personality, all that touchy-feely stuff before giving their recommendation. But I will take all suggestions into sincere consideration and will announce my decision by the New Year.
This is what has been consuming the majority of my spare time this past month. Pretty exciting times...scary too...but mostly exciting!

How about "The Hermitage"?
Crap. No, we can't use that one. That was Andrew Jackson's place. I'll keep thinking!

How about "Neverland"?
Oh wait, that's your beat-up vans name...the one with the free candy.
How about "house where Neil lives"? Or "The Fortress of Solitude"?

Your house looks charming (just like you). Buzz and I are reading the first in a series of books by Jan Karon about a town called Mitford. In the first book there is a name of a house (that never got the name). Anyway it was to be called "Winterpast". For in the bible (Song of Soloman), "for lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone. The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds has come." I thought that was cool. I think you would have to read the love story that went with it, I suppose but it was about Hope. Love you, Theresa (we are heading to Hedgewood tomorrow (friday)
Dan and I were talking about it, and we have come up with THE name. Since Dan is not from Marion, he made the mistake of pronouncing "Calumet" like the French would ("et" = long "a" sound, hence "Calumay"). This led us to the brilliant name of your estate as "Calumet Castle" (pronounced "Calumay Castle") or "The Castle of Calumet" (again the French thingy). Of course, if it is French, you need to make sure to paint the house yellow.
