The Departed...and a couple rentals

Tonight, I went & saw this new Martin Scorsese film that has more stars than I have coffee mugs...which is a lot. I'll just drop their first names...don't want to type out all the last names. You got Martin, Mark, Alec, Leo, Matt, and of course, Jack! Not a whole lot to say about this movie besides that I enjoyed the actors and the story that played out between them. Long movie, but the story kept it moving. A small warning...if you don't like the color red, don't go see this movie...because you see a lot of it.

This weekend, I also rented THE SENTINEL and THANK YOU FOR SMOKING. I liked these movies as well. The Sentinel's plot seemed a little thin, or just undeveloped; but it was fun watching a "Jack Bauer" like movie. "Thank You For Smoking" had a very interesting commentary in its undercurrent asking us how do we come about as a society to determine what's truly healthy for us ... and to what extent is it the society's responsibility to infuse healthy living into people's lives.

Staying up late tonight to watch THE KILLERS on Letterman. As my friend, Emmett, correctly points out, THE KILLERS do not have much stage presence but they do have a fun sound!
